How to improve VoIP quality of service.
If you are adding a BUC appliance to an existing network with VoIP you could leave your VoIP setup in place, i.e. let the ISP modem/router handle the VoIP.
If you run VoIP through the BUC, and you are having quality issues you'll need to create a QOS rule to handle the VoIP traffic.
How to create a QOS VoIP Rule:
- Log into your BUC appliance at http://192.168.10.1
- Go to Firewall then QOS
- Enable Quality of Service
- Create a SIP rule
- Under Add New Classification Rule check Destination Port(s):
- Type 5060
- Set service class to VoIP
- Add New Rule
- Save Changes
